Every time we step onboard a Princess ship, we breathe a little deeper. Not just because the sea air is different, (though it really is) but because something changes. The pace softens. The distractions melt away. And suddenly, it’s just the two of us again.

We didn’t always think cruising was for us. We thought it was all schedules and shore excursions. But the truth is, it’s whatever you want it to be. For us, it’s about carving out time. Time to reconnect, laugh, explore, and just be together, without all the usual noise.
There’s a kind of romance to life at sea. The horizon stretching out in every direction. The shared anticipation of waking up somewhere new. That first sip of Champagne as the ship pulls away from port. It feels like the start of something.
Of course, the food plays a big part. Always has. Whether it’s date night at Crown Grill with a perfect steak and a glass of red, or handmade pasta at Sabatini’s, or a room service breakfast we eat in fluffy robes, it all becomes part of the love story.
But it’s the in-between moments that really stay with us. A quiet drink at sunset. A little dance to live music. The way we linger over coffee, with nowhere to be. Cruising gives us the gift of presence, of slowing down and noticing each other again.
We’ve made some incredible memories on these ships. Some loud and joyful, others quietly beautiful. But they’ve all added up to something that feels more meaningful than just “a holiday.” It feels like choosing each other, again and again.
And that’s why we keep coming back. Because Princess doesn’t just take us places. It brings us back to ourselves, and to each other.
