Princess Cruises announces the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations onboard UK homeport ships

Princess Cruises has unveiled its celebration programme for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Between 2-5 June 2022, a series of activities to celebrate the significant milestone will take place onboard the line’s UK homeport ships - Sky Princess, Enchanted Princess, Emerald Princess, and Island Princess.

Live coverage of the following events will be available onboard the four UK homeport ships: ‘Trooping of the Colour’; Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey; Epsom Derby; Platinum Party at the Palace; and the Jubilee Party. The live coverage will be shown on the 300-square foot ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen located on the top deck of the three ships.

The onboard Piazzas will be decorated for the occasion using banners and buntings in the royal colours and guests will be encouraged to wear the royal red, white and blue colours for a special dress up night.

British-themed food and beverages will be served across the four days, such as a ‘Royal Afternoon Tea’, which includes British favourites such as Victoria sponge cake. Pimms and strawberries will be served on top deck and a ‘Royal Dinner’ menu will be available.

In addition, an array of entertainment will take place exclusively on the 3,660-guest Sky Princess in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, including a special ‘Royal Variety Show’– featuring an Elton John tribute – performed in the Princess Theatre; ‘Royal Trivia’ in Princess Live!; and a talk from guest speaker Grant Harrold, former butler of HRH, Prince of Wales.
