Argentina is in the southern Hemisphere, so the seasons run opposite to those in the northern half of the globe — summer hits in December, and winter rolls in by June. The best time to cruise Argentina is typically from November through February, spanning late spring and early summer, when warmer temperatures and full access to Patagonia create ideal conditions for exploration.

The cruise terminal sits about a half mile from the city center, with taxis and private transfers easily available.

There’s no direct subway or train service to the port. Instead, most guests take taxis or ride-shares to the Terminal.

From Ezeiza International Airport to the port; it’s roughly 25 miles and takes between 45 minutes to an hour by car. Taxis and ride-shares are common. Want to skip the hassle? Princess offers transfers that our guests can pay for in advance.

The cruise terminal is centrally located—just 0.5 miles (about a 10–15 minute stroll) from the downtown area, though walking with luggage isn’t recommended. Consider grabbing a taxi, shuttle, or ride share to the port to drop off your stuff. Then, if there’s still time, you can head back out to explore the city. 

Buenos Aires enjoys a delightfully temperate climate. Spring (September–November) brings mild, fresh breezes and blooming jacarandas. Summer (December–February) can be warm and occasionally humid, while autumn (March–May) cools down with golden light and comfortable temperatures.
