Affectionately called the "biggest small town in Sweden," the country's second largest city is home to verdant parks, sprawling canals, noted museums and plenty of architectural delights. And this half-day tour is one of the best introductions to this enchanting 395-year-old city.

Gothenburg offers a treasure trove of delights so be sure to bring your camera to capture each memorable moment.

After boarding your coach, you'll make your way across the Älvsborg Bridge, Gotheburg's "Golden Gate" for a panoramic tour into the heart of the city. Sit back and relax as your knowledgeable on-board guide regales you with tales of local history and culture.

Get your camera ready as you drive along the large public square known as Götaplatsen. Among the sights you'll pass include the Art Deco-designed Gothenburg Concert Hall, the Gothenburg Art Museum, and the bronze Poseidon Fountain.

Your coach will then wend its way down bustling Avenyen, Gothenburg's grand boulevard and the home of Gustav Adolfs Square where you'll find City Hall, the Courthouse and the Stock Exchange.

Continuing on, you'll arrive at Kungsportsplatsen, a popular square located in the heart of the city that was once the site of the main entrance to the fortified city in the 17th century. The gate has long since disappeared but it's still surrounded by a moat. Today, it's the beginning of your boat tour.

Step off the coach, step onto the paddan boat and watch the world go by as the salty air from the North Sea fills the air. Sit back and relax as your boat gently glides past 17th and 18th century houses and bridges like the Osthyveln (affectionally called the cheese slicer) that are so low that you'll need to duck down inside your boat.

Slowly, you'll cruise out into the harbor for a perfect view of the traditional shipyards, new and old housing, and the maritime museum before disembarking on the other side. After the tour, join your coach for a short drive to Liseberg, Gothenburg's famous amusement park.
