WHAT YOU VISIT
Island & Cave Cruise
The boat's special hull allows the captain to glide into the nooks and crannies of the Bays' rugged seaward side of the outer islands. Once out on the sparkling water, your captain will maneuver the boat so you can take that picture-perfect photo of deep, mysterious caves and majestic island cliffs. During your adventure, enjoy a short stopover at one of the beautiful islands to swim or explore on your own.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Keep an eye open for dolphins, seals, whales and other marine animals.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
The return cruise passes the sheltered inner-island beaches, including Army Bay, named during World War II as part of a coastal defense system; Waewaetorea Island, renowned for its white sands, sheltered beaches and clear blue waters; and Roberton Island, a tranquil little island steeped in fascinating Mâori and colonial history. Once known as Motuarohia Island, a whaling ship captain named John Roberton purchased the island from Ngâpuhi chiefs in 1839.

Special Notes:

The stop to walk or swim at one of the islands is approximately 30 minutes in duration. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Maximum weight limit is 330 lbs. Minimum age is 2 years.

Boat trip may be bumpy and is not recommended for guests with back or neck issues.
