Dublin, a thriving city steeped in tradition is the capital of the Irish Republic. In addition to its splendid public buildings, it is rich in the domestic architecture of the 18th century as well as historic Georgian mansions, lending beauty to the city's wide streets and spacious squares.


What you will see along the way:

Departing from the pier, take in sights of The Customs House. Cross the River Liffey to Dublin's south side for views of The Old Parliament House and Trinity College. Continue to the National Gallery of Ireland and Government Buildings. Admire Dublin Castle, City Hall, Christ Church Cathedral and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Travel past the Guinness Brewery before reaching Phoenix Park. Return along the north bank of the River Liffey past The Four Courts before returning to Dublin Port.

St. Patrick's Cathedral (pass by on the coach)
Built in honor of Ireland's patron saint in 1190, St. Patrick's Cathedral is not only the largest church in Ireland but is also said to be one of the earliest Christian sites in Ireland where St. Patrick baptized converts. The cathedral was damaged during Cromwell's invasion of Ireland in the 17th century and was restored in the 19th century by the Guinness Brewery family.

Currently a major restoration project is ongoing to reinforce the external structure of St Patrick's Cathedral. Due to the project, scaffolding has been placed on the entire external structure of the building impeding the view.
