When the Vikings arrived in the 9th century, they took one look at the bay, named it Dubh Linn, which means "dark pool" and established a trading post. Twelve centuries later, Dublin is a thriving, bustling city steeped in history and tradition, and boasts some of the most stunning architecture in Europe. Experience it all during this all-day excursion that combines a panoramic drive around the city with a self-guided. Visit the Guinness Storehouse and a tasty lunch in a traditional pub. To thoroughly enjoy your adventure, be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring along your camera.

Your tour begins as you board your motorcoach for a panoramic tour of Dublin City. You will see the Old Parliament Building, Trinity College, founded in 1592by Queen Elizabeth I and Merrion Square, one of Dublin's Georgian Squares and now the address of the National Gallery and the Irish Parliament.

You will then pass St. Stephen's Green, Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick's Cathedral en route to the Guinness Storehouse at the St.James Gate Brewery, birthplace of the world's most famous creamy stout. The brewery first saw the light of day close to this spot over 250years ago. Upon arriving, you will enter the Guinness Storehouse, an entertaining exhibition on the history of Guinness.

During your visit to the Storehouse, you will see, hear and smell the ingredients as they make their way through a series of vast machines and processes beforebecoming world-famous Guinness stout. The self-guided tour of the Storehouse ends in the circular panoramic bar with its sweeping views across the city of Dublin. Here, you will enjoy a complimentary sample of the 'black stuff' at its best, just a few hundred yards from where it's made.
Now that you've seen what Dublin has to offer, you can step off the coach for an hour and shop, stroll along the busy streets and take photos. Later, you'll re-join your guide and head to the Old Storehouse pub in Dublin's Temple Bar area for lunch, followed by live music and Irish dancing.

Then, your invigorating day ends with a drive back to your waiting ship with plenty to memories to share with your family and friends back home..
