Princess Cruises Recognized by The Points Guy in 2026 TPG Awards for “Best Big-Ship Itineraries”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (February 2, 2026) – Princess Cruises, a leader in destination cruising, has been recognized by The Points Guy (TPG) as the winner of the 2026 TPG Award for “Best Big Ship Itineraries.” The award marks the first time TPG has presented this category and recognizes Princess for offering the most diverse global itineraries among major cruise brands operating large amenity rich ships.

In its editorial evaluation, The Points Guy cited Princess’ unmatched breadth of deployment, noting that among the five cruise brands that account for the majority of big-ship cruising by Americans, Princess offers the most diverse array of itineraries by far. In a typical year, Princess sails more than 170 itineraries, visits over 90 countries on all seven continents, and calls on more than 345 ports worldwide—bringing guests to more than 100 UNESCO World Heritage sites, significantly more than its big-ship competitors.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our global deployment strategy and our long-standing focus on destination leadership,” said Marie Lee, Princess Cruises Chief Marketing Officer. “Princess is uniquely positioned to deliver immersive, itinerary driven experiences at scale—allowing guests to explore every corner of the world without giving up the advantages of large, innovative ships. Being named ‘Best Big-Ship Itineraries’ by The Points Guy reinforces our commitment to meaningful, destination-rich travel.”

TPG editors highlighted Princess as the obvious choice for the inaugural award, emphasizing that while many small-ship luxury brands are known for globe-circling voyages, Princess stands apart as the big-ship cruise line that enables travelers to explore the world deeply while still enjoying expansive venues, entertainment, dining, and onboard innovation.

The Points Guy also pointed to Princess’ leadership in several key regions, including Japan—where the line is the market leader for North American travelers—as well as its epic transpacific voyages, some spanning up to 131 days, and its extensive sailings across Australia, South America, and Europe. Princess was further recognized for offering the most comprehensive cruise and land tour options in Alaska, where it operates ships, lodges, and rail experiences and remains the clear market leader.

“This award reflects what today’s travelers care about most: real value, thoughtful innovation, and experiences that genuinely make travel better,” said Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy. “Princess stands out for delivering extraordinary global access while maintaining the scale and amenities travelers expect from big ships.”

Established in 2018, The Points Guy Awards have become a definitive annual benchmark for recognizing excellence across airlines, cruise lines, hotels, travel products, credit cards, and loyalty programs. Winners are selected through a rigorous evaluation process led by TPG’s editorial team of travel and loyalty experts, combining firsthand experience, industry knowledge, and data-driven analysis to assess how well brands deliver real value to travelers.
