Successful lecturers may come from a variety of disciplines, but all have one thing in common: they know how to convey useful information in an entertaining way, thereby contributing to a truly memorable holiday for our passengers.

Guest Enrichment Lecturer

Princess Cruise Line offers unique opportunities for guest lecturers to enrich the cruise experience by providing presentations about topics deemed interesting and appropriate to the ships’ itineraries. If you have a friendly and outgoing personality, enjoy interacting with a large variety of people, and possess proven public speaking skills, then you might consider joining our team of guest enrichment lecturers. Guest lecturers are not paid, but enjoy passenger status onboard and are provided a complimentary cabin for themselves and a companion. All presentations must be accompanied by a PowerPoint slideshow. Guest enrichment lecturers must provide their own laptop computer for this purpose. Preferred topics include, but are not limited to: Cultural History (relating to itinerary), Maritime History, Astronomy, World Exploration, Earth Sciences, Marine life, Wildlife, Environmental Sciences, Archaeology, Sociology and Anthropology.

Passenger Volunteer Lecturer

Princess Cruise Line provides an opportunity for interested passengers with confirmed reservations to deliver a presentation to passengers. Interested passengers should have proven public speaking experience and credible knowledge in their topic. All presentations must be accompanied by a PowerPoint slideshow. Passenger lecturers must provide their own laptop computer for this purpose. Presentation offerings must be pre-approved by Princess’ shore side operations.

Port Lecturer

If you enjoy travel and sharing your knowledge with others, have an outgoing personality and strong presentation skills, this is the position for you. The Port Lecturer provides useful practical traveler information about each port of call on itineraries, all the while sharing his or her expertise on the history, culture, geography and politics of the places we sail. Port Lecturers must have in depth knowledge of the area on the itinerary and possess good research skills to keep their information up to date as well. This position requires good customer service skills (i.e. friendly and outgoing personality, with lots of patience).

Naturalist Lecturer

Princess Cruise Line provides naturalist lecturers on its Alaska, Hawaii and Antarctic itineraries, as well as selected Australia, Oceania, Africa and World Cruise itineraries. Naturalist lecturers provide passengers with a richer understanding of the sights they are seeing by providing them with knowledge in both an informative and entertaining way. Interpretive programs optimize a passenger’s experiences by covering Natural Sciences, Environmental Issues, Wildlife and Sealife topics, Native Culture and History. Some practical traveler information for the ports is also recommended. Successful candidates are trained in Marine Biology, Environmental Sciences, Sociology, Geological and Geographical disciplines. Naturalists must have ample personal knowledge and first-hand experience the places we sail, as well as a proven background in public speaking with an engaging and personable style.

Volunteer Passenger Clergy

Princess Cruises provides an opportunity for interested passengers with confirmed reservations and proven clergy credentials to deliver religious services to passengers. Interested passenger clergy must provide either a current Letter of Celebret (Catholic) or a Letter of Good Standing from their Synagogue (Jewish) and present their letter to the front desk onboard. Please note that we do not pre-approve clergy.
