What You Visit:

Juneau Tram
This exhilarating tram car ride transports you up Mount Roberts 1,800 feet above sea level. Once you disembark you'll meet a naturalist guide who will lead you on a mountain hike along a quiet trail as you view the splendor of the panoramic peaks. Learn about the edible and practical uses of the many plants within this temperate hinterland. Be sure to check out the Native exhibits, theater, bar and restaurant in the mountaintop lodge. You may also visit an American bald eagle at the Juneau Raptor Center exhibit and take a stroll along one of the alpine trails.

Photo Opportunity:
The Mount Roberts sky bridge and numerous viewing platforms offer stunning panoramas of the Chilkat Mountains, Douglas Island and downtown Juneau.

Snack:
This fun outing makes a stop at the Alpine Tea House, where you will have the opportunity to sample a variety of genuine made in Alaska products created from the bounty of the rainforest like Alaskan spruce tip jam or a cup of blueberry tea.

Special Notes:

Your tram ticket is good for unlimited rides all day. Group size is limited to 14 per departure. Participants must be in good health and able to walk about 3/4 mile with a mild elevation gain including multiple steps. Each participant also receives a 15% discount on all products at the Nature Center! Wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking and dress warmly in layers as the tour operates in all weather conditions. The route on the trail is chosen based on the ability of the group and the conditions of the day. Alternate trails may be used based on early season snow levels on the mountain. This tour ends atop the mountain. All tour participants are eligible to enter to win cash prizes in the tour operator's Capture Juneau Photo Contest.
