Jungle Surfing Zip Line Adventure
Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
You can surf the Web or you can surf the sky! The latest craze in eco adventures is zip lining, and for good reason. It's an exhilarating way to take in the magnificence of nature from a bird's-eye view. Your thrilling day begins when you board the motorcoach bound for Cape Tribulation. On your way north, you'll pause to pick up a light lunch to enjoy along the way.
Cape Tribulation is where two magnificent World Heritage Sites, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, meet. The area is a showplace for spectacular scenery, native flora and fauna, and impressive waterfalls. Your destination is the Jungle Surfing Canopy Station, where you'll embark on a high-flying adventure that takes in the sights and sounds of this incredible region.
At Jungle Surfing Canopy Station, you'll meet your expert guides who will stay with you throughout your journey. All your equipment, including harness and helmet, is included along with an informative talk on each platform. Please make sure you are dressed suitably in long shorts or pants (skirts are not suitable), and your footwear should be fully attached to your feet (no thongs or slip-on shoes).
Before you know it…whoosh, you're off! Your course includes six rainforest canopy platforms. From this unique vantage point 65 feet (20 meters) in the air, you'll enjoy the spectacular views. Nothing can compare to seeing this immense, millions-year-old rainforest from this perspective. See the verdant trees, sparkling freshwater streams and the coral lace of the Great Barrier Reef. Hear the sounds of the croaking tree frogs and the cooing of the fruit doves that flit from the branches.
Back on terra firma, walk back to the motorcoach, and if time permits a photo stop will be made at the beautiful yellow sands of Myall Beach for picture-perfect views of the swaying mangroves and gorgeous ocean vistas.
Refresh with some decadent Daintree ice cream, homemade with tropical fruits grown in the local orchards, on the return journey before heading back to Port Douglas.
