DAY ONE
WHAT YOU VISIT
Kariega Private Game Reserve
Located on 24,700 acres of pristine Eastern Cape wilderness in Settler Country, the reserve is home to the famous Big 5 as well as an abundance of African wildlife. Nestled within the reserve is the Settlers Drift, a unique tented safari suite that boasts 5-star luxury, stunning views, and secluded decks overlooking the Bushman's River. After check in, you'll embark on an evening game drive in search of the Big Five followed by dinner back at the lodge.
DAY TWO
WHAT YOU VISIT
Kariega Private Game Reserve
Enjoy the sunrise, refreshments and a snack before a game drive and a bush walk. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast/brunch and a chance to relax with a swim, soak up the views from your private deck or indulge in some quiet time to yourself before an evening game drive, sundowners and a bush dinner.
DAY THREE
An early wake-up call and game drive begins your final day. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and transfer to Port Elizabeth Harbor and your waiting ship.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The unspoiled Kariega Private Game Reserve offers stunning views of the valleys, grassy plains and African bushveld. And during your game drives, be ready to "shoot" the Big Five, including hippos, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, elands, kudus, waterbuck sand a variety of other antelope, as well as a myriad of bird species including the nesting crowned eagle, martial and fish eagles. Game drives take place in order to coincide when wildlife is most active--early morning and late evening.
MEALS
Your breakfasts, lunches and dinners are a tantalizing mix of fine cuisine prepared by top-class chefs. A popular "African dinner under the stars" barbequed meat buffet called a Boma can be served on the deck of your suite.

Due to this tour's popularity, exclusivity, and strict booking conditions, tour bookings must be confirmed 90 days prior to the call of the overland's departure. Any cancellations thereafter are non-refundable and a 100% penalty will be applied to the reservation. The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice, due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of dangerous wildlife on the Game Reserve.During early morning game drives in open vehicles it can be a little cool. We recommend that guests take along a windbreaker. Guests are therefore advised not to forget their sunhats, sun block, sunglasses, as well as their cameras and binoculars.
Please note that the game drive vehicles traverse over uneven terrain and that the game-drives can be "bumpy". This tour is therefore not recommended for guests with back problems. Tour not recommended for guests with wheelchairs or walking difficulties. Please consult physician before traveling. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
