WHAT YOU VISIT
Montserrat by Helicopter
Prepare for jaw-dropping views as you take off from the helipad in Antiqua. Then, look out below for Montserrat and the Exclusion Zone, which covers the entire southeastern half of the island. At the center of the exclusion zone is the still-active Soufriere Hills Volcano, which rises up to 3,000 feet above sea level, and frequently spews a combination of ash, smoke and steam.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Your sky-high perspective gives you the ultimate views of the massive Tar River Gorge and Delta, which formed as a result of avalanches of hot gas, rock, ash, and dust known as pyroclastic flows.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
You'll also witness what's left of small villages devastated by past eruptions before flying over the charred remains of Plymouth, the country's former capital, now uninhabited and in some places buried under 40 feet of ash. On the seaside, observe the former location of the W.H. Bramble Airport, abandoned after the 1997 eruptions and now covered in ash.

Special Notes:

Route may vary due to weather and volcanic activity. It is essential you bring your passport as you may need to clear both Antigua and Montserrat immigration. The seats are configured with 1 middle seat, which affords views out of both sides, but is not directly beside a window. Preferred seating and flight times cannot be guaranteed. Total flight time is around 45 minutes. There is a weight restriction of 230 lbs per person and a height restriction of 6 feet and 4 inches. In addition there is a combined passenger weight limit of 700 lbs for the four seat helicopter and 1000 lbs for the six seat helicopter. Passenger weights must be provided by the ship in advance of the flight date and passengers should be advised that they will be weighed upon arrival at the heliport. Accurate weight information is essential to avoid any potentially embarrassing situations on the flight date. Passengers are provided with headsets for intercom communication with the pilot and other guests.

Tour timeline may vary to avoid overcrowding, etc.
