No visit to Belgium is complete without indulging in one of the country's most successful and delicious exports…their world famous chocolate. Indulge your sweet tooth and the rest of your senses with a four-hour excursion that showcases the charm, culture, history and beauty that surrounds Bruges. Comfortable walking shoes and a camera are must-haves before you climb aboard the comfortable motorcoach. Sit back and relax as you wind your way past the canals, tree lined streets and out into the bucolic countryside.

After you arrive in the quaint medieval town of Damme you'll have time to sample beer (a Belgium favorite) or visit its most famous landmarks. Measuring only 35 square miles, Damme is one of the smallest but one of the most picturesque towns in Belgium. Once the site of Spanish occupation during the 18th century, Damme still retains its rich medieval legacy.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll to the Market Square. Here, you'll find the charming Town Hall. Originally constructed in 1241 and rebuilt in 1464, the building boasts a tower with 25 bells and a timepiece from 1459, believed to be the oldest in Belgium. Across from the Town Hall sits Saint-Jean d'Angély House, a lovely 15th-century mansion where Charles the Bold married Margaret of York in 1468. The quiet beauty of Our Ladies Church has cast a spell over the city since its original construction in 1225 and is one of Damme's most renowned monuments. Through the centuries the church has been renovated, enlarged, reduced and today, the Church and its unique flat tower are a protected monument. Inside is a treasure trove of artifacts including wooden statues of the apostles dating back to the 13th century.

One of Damme's oldest buildings is Saint-John's Hospital. Founded in 1249 to care for the ill, poor and travelers, the centuries-old chapel and infirmary are still in their original condition.

Did you know that there are more castles per square mile in Belgium than any other country on earth? See one of the most enchanting in the captivating hamlet of Loppem.

Back on the motorcoach, you'll travel south. Have your camera ready as you step off; the castle looks like it belongs on the pages of a book of fairy tales. Built between 1859 and 1862, its castle-like towers, impressive parapets, and pointed Gothic arched windows and entries are considered a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture. Meander along the landscaped walkways that wind through the trees and across bridges.

Refreshed, you'll return to port with a camera filled with beautiful memories to share.
