Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
This delightful half-day tour is a wonderful way to discover the best of Bruges, by land and by water. Sit back and enjoy the picturesque journey to the capital of Flanders through magnificent Flemish countryside.
Upon arrival in the city, your guide will walk you through many of the pretty, cobbled streets, and around the historic marketplace, which is home to the Guild Halls and many other centuries-old buildings. You will also stroll past one of the town's major landmarks, the Belfry, a huge tower that houses 48 bells, plus the impressive Town Hall and the 12th-century Basilica of the Holy Blood, which was once the official residence of the Count of Flanders. (exterior views only)
Your guide will then lead you to the canals, where you will board a small boat for the open air ride around the city's charming network of waterways. Many of the houses sit directly on the water, making the cruise a very intimate and enjoyable way of discovering this incomparable city.
Afterwards, you will enjoy a photo stop at the 13th-century Church of Our Lady, which houses Michelangelo's white marble sculpture, the "Madonna and Child." (exterior view only)
Heading back to the Walplein, you will then have free time to browse the shops for fine Belgian chocolate or Flemish lace, or maybe stop at a nearby cafe for a coffee or locally brewed beer.
Meeting your guide at a pre-arranged time and place, you will then be escorted back to the bus for the return journey back to port, through more postcard-perfect countryside.
