WHAT YOU VISIT
Kraljevski Vinogradi Winery
Originally developed 870 years ago with a donation by Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV to the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary in Zadar, the award-winning winery is one of the few large vineyards in Dalmatia and Croatia where vines are planted in rocky limestone soil, on a sunny southern slope in narrow rows. Today, the vineyard holds original plantings as well as new with over 8,000 grapevines.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The view from the vineyards overlooks the city of Zadar, the islands of the Zadar archipelago and the 1,757-meter-tall (5,764-foot-tall) Velebit mountain, one of Croatia's largest mountain range.
REFRESHMENTS
Sip and savor tastings of rose, white and red wine accompanied by local snacks.
