What you will visit:

Wonderful photos and a deeper understanding of the Tongass National Forest's extraordinary ecosystem make for an unforgettable day. Guided by your expert captain and biologist guides, you'll embark on a four-hour discovery cruise to explore southeastern Alaska's untamed waters and rugged shores. Watch for humpback whales diving and feeding on herring. Drift past reefs where harbor seals bask in the sun, sea otters float through kelp beds, and Steller sea lions frolic in the swift currents. Overhead, bald eagles fly while shorebirds hunt along the coastline. The small-group approach ensures a more personal experience, with guides adjusting the itinerary based on real-time conditions and wildlife behavior. You'll also step ashore briefly to soak in southeastern Alaska's raw beauty by land.

What you will see along the way:
Immerse yourself in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, the largest national forest in the United States and part of the world's largest temperate rainforest. Spanning nearly 17 million acres, the Tongass is a vast, lush wilderness teeming with life and natural beauty. As your vessel glides through the pristine waters, watch for humpback whales, harbor seals lounging on rocky outcrops, and sea otters bobbing in dense kelp beds. Steller sea lions frolic in the currents while bald eagles soar overhead or perch in towering spruce trees. Along the shoreline, you might spot black bears foraging or shorebirds flitting through the intertidal zone. All this against a backdrop of secluded coves, glacial fjords, and snow-capped peaks.
