Kaikoura Ranges, here you will enjoy a delightful morning or afternoon tea and an intimate talk about New Zealand farming with a sheep dog and/or sheep shearing demonstration with the award winning, experienced Sheep and Beef farmer and
Lodge owner.
Pencarrow Lodge is proud to be supporting the NZ wool industry, with selected natural woollen products on offer for sale.
What you will see along the way:
Beauty abounds as you journey around the crescent-shaped shoreline of Wellington Harbour. Gaze upon quaint villages and sparkling bays tucked along the Storm Coast, named for the hidden shipwrecks that are dotted along the rugged coastline. As you approach Pencarrow Station, enjoy views (on a clear day) that stretch across the Cook Strait to the snow-capped Kaikoura Ranges on South Island.
Pencarrow Head Lighthouse, built in 1858, is surrounded by wild seascape scenery. It is New Zealand's oldest lighthouse, and it was also home to its first and only female lighthouse keeper.
