WHAT YOU VISIT
Pelican Point Kayak and 4x4 Adventure
After a short transfer by minivan to the Walvis Bay Marina, you'll meet your local guide at the waterfront, board a motor boat and cruise to Pelican Point Peninsula, a long sandbar guarding Walvis Bay. After a brief orientation, you'll step into your kayak and paddle alongside playful fur seals, schools of dolphins and other friendly marine life. For the bird lovers, you'll see flamingos (seasonal), pelicans, cormorants, and more. Then head off-road in a 4x4 for a stunning drive along the Pelican Point Peninsula and Walvis Bay Lagoon before returning to the quayside
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Have your camera ready for the sight of 50,000 fur seals that call Pelican Point their home. Weighing up to 317 kilograms (700 pounds) and up to three meters (10 feet), these frisky creatures are accustomed to kayaks and humans. If you're lucky you may get a photo of a passing humpback whale.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
