A fully narrated motorcoach drive through the charming city of Victoria, soon gives way to the lovely Saanich Peninsula and the celebrated Butchart Gardens. A spectacular 55-acre wonderland of flowers, rare trees, winding paths and cascading fountains greets you at this magnificently landscaped setting.
Your independent, self-guided 1.5-hour tour will include such highlights as the Italian, Japanese, and Rose gardens all linked by spacious lawns, streams and lily ponds. You won't want to miss the "Sunken Garden," once an abandoned limestone quarry dramatically transformed into a landscaped wonder in the early 20th century. Independently you may take a ride on the Rose Carousel, a menagerie of wild animals selected by the Garden's owners and handcrafted by skilled artisans. If you wish, enjoy a cool gelato and relax on the lawn before returning to your coach to visit the Victoria Butterfly Gardens.
Wander among a multitude of butterflies in this 12,000-square-foot garden resplendent with lush foliage and waterways. Elegant pink flamingo and tropical birds call it home and fish splash happily in the ponds. Over 30 species of butterflies, each more vibrant and colorful than the next, fly freely. Get your camera ready and capture the beauty of the surroundings and your delicate, new friends.
A scenic drive back to port completes this memorable day.

The content of this tour is identical to YYJ-330. Only guests using a wheelchair who cannot transfer from their device to a seat and require a lift-equipped vehicle can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation. Their traveling companions should book YYJ-330 as everyone will be on the same transportation. Bookings not marked with an accessibility requirement will be removed from the tour's inventory.
This tour can accommodate manual and electric wheelchairs. The lift on the vehicle can accommodate a maximum weight of 550 lbs., maximum length of 43 inches and maximum width of 31 inches. Passengers with disabilities must contact the onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours prior to the excursion to ensure arrangements can be made to meet their particular needs. This tour is usually conducted in the evening and sunlight/visibility will be limited; however, portions of the garden are illuminated with subtle lighting displays. For daytime calls this tour will operate in full natural light, so nighttime illuminations are not necessary. A fireworks show is included at Butchart Gardens every Saturday evening from July 8 to September 2. Due to limited daylight hours in early May and mid-September, this tour may not be offered.
