A fully narrated motorcoach drive through the charming city of Victoria, soon gives way to the lovely Saanich Peninsula and the celebrated Butchart Gardens. A spectacular 55-acre wonderland of flowers, rare trees, winding paths and cascading fountains greets you at this magnificently landscaped setting.

Your independent, self-guided 1.5-hour tour will include such highlights as the Italian, Japanese, and Rose gardens all linked by spacious lawns, streams and lily ponds. You won't want to miss the "Sunken Garden," once an abandoned limestone quarry dramatically transformed into a landscaped wonder in the early 20th century. Independently you may take a ride on the Rose Carousel, a menagerie of wild animals selected by the Garden's owners and handcrafted by skilled artisans. If you wish, enjoy a cool gelato and relax on the lawn before returning to your coach to visit the Victoria Butterfly Gardens.

Wander among a multitude of butterflies in this 12,000-square-foot garden resplendent with lush foliage and waterways. Elegant pink flamingo and tropical birds call it home and fish splash happily in the ponds. Over 30 species of butterflies, each more vibrant and colorful than the next, fly freely. Get your camera ready and capture the beauty of the surroundings and your delicate, new friends.
