WHAT YOU VISIT
Walking Tour of Valletta
Valletta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its colossal architectural monuments. Behold these treasured sites on a walking tour through the historic heart of this walled city. After a bus transfer from the pier, you'll disembark near Fort St. Elmo – the legendary star-shaped fortress guarding the harbor. From here, you'll follow your guide along the cobbled streets to Baroque landmarks such as Casa Rocca Piccola, a stunning noble residence that offers a glimpse into aristocratic life. A stroll along Merchants Street and Republic Square leads to the stunning Grand Master's Palace, one of the first buildings in Valletta. Have your camera ready for panoramic views from beautiful Upper Barakka Gardens. For a look at modern Valleta, there's Parliament of Malta, Valletta City Gate, and the Triton Fountain.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
This excursion offers one awe-inspiring site after another so bring your best lenses and a camera with full battery and lots of memory space to capture the breathtaking views of the ocean and Valletta's skyline from the upper levels of Fort St. Elmo. And you can't miss Grand Master's Palace, erected in 1571, has been enlarged and embellished over the centuries and what you see today houses the official office of the President of Malta.
