WHAT YOU VISIT
Scenic RIB Adventure
Zip across the sheltered waters near Tromsø during a fast and thrilling boat ride in a rigid inflatable boat, also called an RIB. First, you'll meet your captain for a safety briefing and suit up in a life jacket and board the RIB. Then, hang on as the captain revs the engine and steers the RIB out of the harbor and over the crystal-blue waters. Continue to Håkøya Island and hear the story of the Tirpitz, one of Germany's largest World War II battleships. Sunk by British bombers, a memorial to the roughly 1,200 people who died aboard the ship can be seen from the RIB.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
You'll have picture-perfect views of the harbor and the sparkling sea from the RIB. With a little bit of luck, you might spot eagles, cormorants, puffins, seals and/or harbor porpoises.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Soak up the stunning views, look for wildlife and listen to local stories as you cruise towards mountainous Ryøya Island.
