Your tour begins as you board your transportation for a scenic drive through Port of Spain to the Royal Botanic Gardens. En route, pass the lighthouse and the striking Red House, the seat of Parliament in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago built in German Renaissance style. Along your route, drive past the Magnificent Seven, a group of extravagant and eccentrically designed mansions lining the western side of the Queen's Park Savannah, built around the turn of the century.
Upon arriving at the Royal Botanic Gardens, you'll take a short stroll among a cool, shady enclave of exotic trees and tropical flowers. Continue onward with a short drive to Lady Young Lookout for a stunning panoramic view of Port of Spain.
Next proceed into the vast Santa Cruz Valley with its endless cocoa and coffee plantations on your way to Maracas Lookout. Here the air is clean and crisp, a place where friendly vendors offer coconut water to cool travelers down. The lookout offers a breathtaking view of Maracas Bay. You'll also find handmade local jewelry and other keepsakes. Descend to Maracas Beach with a complimentary beverage from your vehicle and take a quick stroll on the powdery white-sand beach lined with coconut palms. Your tour concludes with a relaxing drive back to the pier, witnessing Trinidad's countryside with lush tropical vegetation and dramatic scenery along the way.
