What you will visit:

Tangier
Standing guarding over the Strait of Gibraltar and gateway to Africa, Tangier is in northern Morocco. While growing rapidly, it still possesses an intoxicating blend of colors and civilizations, a mix of Portugal, France, Spain, and northern Africa.

Kasbah
A must-see landmark while in Tangier, the kasbah, a former citadel, dates to the 10th century, and much remains intact. It is now a fashionable district but still maintains much of its original characteristics and architecture. A stroll truly transports visitors back to when it was the traditional residence of the sultan.

Tangier American Legation
Morocco was the first country in the world to recognize American Independence, and the America Legation honors the relationship between the countries in its cultural center and museum. It is also the only U.S. National Historic Landmark located in a foreign country.

The Grand Socco
A bustling central plaza surrounded by palm trees and anchored by a marble fountain and pretty flowerbeds, the Grand Socco is a lovely entrance to the medina. Street vendors, strolling musicians, tiny cafés and artisan shops offer a lively atmosphere, plenty of local color and numerous photo opportunities.

St. Andrew's Church
Completed in 1894 and consecrated in 1905, St. Andrew's Church is a stately structure built on land gifted to Queen Victoria by Sultan Hassan. The interior of this graceful Anglican church is decorated in high Fassi style. Many famous dignitaries and British and Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives fighting in North Africa during World War II are laid to rest in the church's graveyard.

Tetouan
Located in northern Morocco, Tetouan is one of the Morocco's major ports. It was of significance during the Islamic period and was a main connection point between Andalusia and Morocco. A host of heritage buildings, old-world artistry, labyrinthine alleys, souks (markets) and stunning vistas are all found inside the beautifully preserved medina, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Museum Dar Sanaa
Just outside the medina, you'll find this renowned museum and art school, the only official institution dedicated to the preservation of Moorish arts and crafts. Here, the artistic pursuits of the past are colorfully alive, with teachings in copper works, wood carving, silk embroidery and painting, all using generations-old techniques taught by master artisans.

Dar El Oddi
The artistic space known as Dar El Oddi, located in a traditional house, opened in 2018. It welcomes guests to discover its permanent collection, called "Visions of Tetouan," a celebration of the region's cultural delights from the 16th through 20th centuries. On the ground floor, guests can peruse the traditional kitchen of this original family home.

What you will see along away:
The Royal Palace of Tetouan is not open to visitors, as it is still in private use by King Mohammed VI.

Lunch:
Refresh during your day with a typical Moroccan lunch in a local establishment in the heart of the Tetouan medina.
