WHAT YOU VISIT
Iron Age Village of Bostadh
In 1992, gale-force winds revealed an an entire Iron Age settlement buried in the sands on Great Bernera Island. Believed to date from 500 to 700 AD, the contents of the excavated huts like animal bones and grain had been perfectly preserved by the sand. Take a walk through history as you stroll around the excavation and visit the nearby replica of a hut, complete with a turf roof and a small central hearth.

Breacleit
Located in the center of Great Bernera, the island's main village is a beautiful location near the lake for a quick photostop.
