With your 24-hour ticket, you can hop on and off the red buses as many times as you like during your visit. Enjoy informative multi-lingual (English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Chinese, Russian and Norwegian) audio-commentary available through individual headphones giving you insights to the history, culture and traditions of Stavanger.
With twelve stops conveniently placed near to landmarks, museums and public spaces you can hop off and explore whatever takes your interest. Start your tour from the cruise terminal or have a stroll around the Old Town before jumping aboard one of our red buses. Alternatively, save the town stroll for the end of your tour before making your way back on board your ship.
The next stop will take you to Stavanger Cathedral and the Tourist Information Centre where the locals can guide you further on where to visit as you tour your way around. Stavanger Cathedral is a beautiful piece of architecture perfectly situated between the Norwegian sea and the park... don't miss its spectacular interior either!
The Petroleum Museum will enlighten science intrigued visitors to the history of oil and gas and how they are created, produced and used in both the past and the present. A modern museum full of interactive exhibits and old artefacts, there's something to keep everyone entertained.
Museum lovers will continue to be engaged as we head to the Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Art. The Museum of Art is a must when in Stavanger; housing collections of Norwegian art from the 19th century to contemporary pieces. The Museum of Archaeology will take you back 11,000 years through human history and is home to a large collection of bones, stones and archaic tools used once upon a time. Following these stops, you'll then be able to practice your 'royal wave' as you pass or hop off at the beautiful Ledaal Royal Residence before heading back to port for your return.
