Board your vessel and set sail from Stavanger, passing by its many islands and bridges, to the entrance of Lysefjord.
This fjord is noted for its spectacular beauty. In fact, French writer Victor Hugo poetized it in Toilers of the Sea after a visit in 1866. The name means light fjord, thought to be derived from the lightly colored granite rocks along its sides. The fjord was carved by the action of glaciers in the ice ages and was flooded by the sea when the later glaciers retreated.

During your 2.5-hour cruise, you'll enjoy some spectacular scenery filled with craggy mountain-scrapes, steep cliffs, and dazzling waterfalls. Perhaps the most noted site is the 'Pulpit' or Preikestolen a rock formation that towers more than 1,800 ft above sea level.

Along the way, you'll stop for some refreshments of coffee and Norwegian waffles at a local restaurant before continuing on your voyage. The area also has an exciting bird and animal life, and there is a great possibility to meet sea eagles, seals and small whales. Be sure to take your camera with you!

Your tour concludes as you sail back to the pier, and your ship.
