WHAT YOU VISIT
Stroll through the picturesque village of Quidi Vidi en route to the the Quidi Vidi Brewery where you will sample some true Newfoundland ales. As you savor different flavors of craft brews, peer out over the deck railing and ponder how this incredible inlet is home to many of St. John's fishing people that brave the cold North Atlantic every day to make their living.
Next, we go underground and participate in a port wine tasting tradition that goes back to 1679 in old Newman's Wine Vaults.
Your tour culminates at a well-known local pub, where you will take part in a traditional Newfoundland ceremony known as a Screech-In. Tradition dictates that those who survive the ceremony become honorary Newfoundlanders.
If you are still essentially upright at the end of the induction formalities, feel free to stay and explore the downtown area on your own and walk the short 5 minutes back to the ship. Less-upright bodies will be discreetly delivered back to the ship.

Minimum age to participate is 19 years. There is a 350 meter walk to and from the brewery (700 meters total). There are also 10 stairs to get in and out of the brewery. The walk to the Screech In pub may vary between 100-300 meters. This tour is not recommended for those with mobility issues. This excursion is not wheelchair accessible. Mobility equipment is unable to be accommodated on this tour. Order of events may vary.
