What you will visit:
Town of Imotski
A stroll through the typical Dalmatian stone streets reveals the charms of the town of Imotski, centered around the base of the Topana Fortress. Piazza Street is a pedestrian zone, and the promenade bustles with local activity and the main administrative center.
Imotski Lakes
Unique and magical, the Red and Blue Lakes dazzle at Imotski, a hilltop town close to the Bosnian border. The Blue Lake, named after the deep azure color of its waters, is a natural phenomenon: it completely disappears in the summer, leaving a base dry enough that the annual football match can be played on the lake floor. The Red Lake, is less accessible due to the high red stone cliffs that surround it. Both lakes are shrouded in myth, and legends abound among the local citizens.
Eco-village Grabovac
Eco-village Grabovac evokes the memory of the deserted village of Grabovci, abandoned in mid 1990s. The air is sweet with nostalgia in this tiny enclave steeped in the charms of yesteryear. Guests are welcomed to this charming eco-farm created to evoke the original way of life of the region. Enjoy calm, peaceful surroundings, authentic stone houses, and gastronomic options as fresh and varied as the land from where they came.
What you will see along the way:
Gaze upon the beauty of the Dalmatian countryside from the motorcoach window as you pass the Imotski fields, covered with flourishing vineyards and dotted with petite farms and villages.
Photo Opportunity:
Topana fortress
Dominating the center of Imotski, this10th-century fortress has a significant strategic history. A small church, Our Lady of the Angels, is nestled within the fortress's surroundings. The fortress provides picture-postcard views and is the center for cultural events.
