WHAT YOU VISIT
A Walk Through Split Old Town and Wine Tasting
Acclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the medieval streets of Split's Old Town is a maze of large open courtyards, restaurants, shops, and narrow cobbled lanes. And one of the best ways to get to know this waterfront wonder is on a guided walking tour. At the heart of Old Town is Diocletian's Palace built for the Roman emperor in the 4th century. Enter through its impressive arches and stroll around this ancient site whose impressive ruins include the fortification gates and the Temple of Jupiter. Another must-see icon is the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, dedicated to the city's patron saint. This remarkably well-preserved octagonal cathedral was built as a mausoleum for Diocletian, who was interred here in 311 A.D.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Noted as one of the best-preserved ancient Roman buildings still standing, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius is encircled by the original colonnade of 24 columns. It was later converted into a Christian cathedral and consecrated in the 7th century making it the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world that remains in use in its original structure. A much later addition, the tall Romanesque bell tower, was constructed between the 13th and 16th centuries and reconstructed in 1908 after it collapsed.

TASTING
After exploring Old Town, treat your senses to an authentic wine-tasting experience. Enjoy two carefully selected local wines-a refreshing rosé and a crisp white-paired with a small platter of regional bites, offering a delightful introduction to Dalmatia's culinary tradition.
