Special Notes
The dog sledding portion is a demonstration and guests are not able to ride the sled. In order to participate, children must be able to understand the rules of interaction with the dogs and a parent or guardian must be present to supervise any interaction. Children under the age of 2 may travel as a lap child at no cost; however, the weight of the child will be added to the weight of the parent on whose lap they will be sitting. Weight surcharge ($200) may apply on this flight. Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as passenger safety and comfort, the helicopter companies have advised that guests weighing 250 lbs. or more (fully clothed) will be assessed the weight surcharge to reserve adequate space onboard the helicopter. Guests weighing 250 lbs. or more should reserve 2 tickets and, once onboard, go to the Tour Office to have the extra ticket charge adjusted down to the surcharge amount. Helicopter seating is based on weight and balance requirements. Refer to the FAQ section for more important information about flightseeing tours.
Tour operation depends on glacier snow conditions and usually runs through late August. The glacier surface is snowy, uneven and slick, so appropriate footwear is necessary and participants should dress warmly in layered clothing with a windproof and waterproof outer layer. Carry-on bags, water bottles and liquids are not allowed and there is limited secure storage at the heliport. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones and Go-Pro Sticks or other extendable items are not permitted on tour. Dark clothing is preferable to minimize window reflection for optimal views and photography. Aircraft fly no higher than 7,000 feet. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body.
Provided: Glacier overboots
Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
