Your adventure begins at the pier where you'll board an air-conditioned motorcoach and take a narrated drive through historic downtown Skagway en route to the White Pass. Enjoy a scenic drive up the Klondike Highway, paralleling the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad and peaking at the breathtaking summit, some 3,290 feet above sea level.
Marvel as the scenery changes dramatically from lush rainforest to stark granite. All around you, mountains tower and lakes of all sizes dot the valleys. Photo stops allow you to capture these awesome images.
Your journey continues at the Yukon Suspension Bridge located above the whitewater rapids of the spectacular Tutshi River. Experience the dramatic walk across the bridge; savor the fresh mountain air and spectacular scenery as the river rages beneath you. Learn about the area's natural and human history at the interpretive exhibits of this outdoor museum.
Re-board your motorcoach en route to your lunch stop as your driver tells stories of the gold rush that shaped this region. At Wildlife Adventure Yukon satisfy your appetite with a delicious chicken barbecue lunch complete with all-you-can-eat homemade donuts. After your meal, tour Yukon's most extensive Wildlife Museum. Stroll among creatures of Yukon's past and present, with favorites including steppe bison, grizzly bears, monster moose, woolly mammoth and the world's largest mounted polar bear. Absorb some authentic Canadian culture at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre. This interpretive display focuses on the history of Canada's "Mounties" and highlights their role during the Klondike Gold Rush. Visit the Dog Musher's Village where you can visit with Iditarod dog mushers and take pictures with the sled dogs and husky puppies. For an extra fee, you may join them for a dog cart ride. Kids and adults alike will also enjoy the petting farm.
On the return trip, you'll have a chance to do some sightseeing and souvenir shopping on our stop in the Native town of Carcross before heading back to the ship.
