Take the wheel and discover Sitka on your own terms with a private Jeep Wrangler and the freedom to explore wherever the road leads. This four-hour self-guided adventure lets you travel at your preferred pace, whether you're drawn to scenic coastal overlooks, historic landmarks, forested trails, or time browsing local shops and galleries in town. You may choose to visit highlights such as Sitka National Historical Park, Fortress of the Bear, Silver Bay viewpoints, and the shoreline along Halibut Point Road. Your vehicle also features optional GPS-triggered audio narration that shares stories and insights about Sitka's culture, wildlife, and landscapes as you drive. Curated itineraries help shape your day. With the flexibility to linger wherever you choose, this personalized driving experience offers an easy, independent way to experience Sitka's natural beauty and rich heritage.

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Tongass National Forest, Sitka, Alaska, is a haven of untamed beauty where rugged landscapes and abundant wildlife thrive. Towering spruce and hemlock trees blanket the mountains, bald eagles glide overhead, and a variety of marine life thrives in the icy waters. Volcanic Mt. Edgecumbe rises on the horizon, and amid the serenity, brown bears fish for salmon in rushing streams.

Price is per vehicle – only one guest per party should book this excursion. We do not match independent passengers to create groups for private vehicles so your companions must be of your choosing. The Jeep can accommodate up to 5 adults and a car seat per Jeep is available. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid driver's license at check-in. This is a self-guided exploration. Entrance fees to attractions are not included. Optional GPS-triggered narration is available throughout the driving experience to provide local insights and points of interest. Dress in warm, comfortable layers with sturdy walking shoes to remain comfortable in changing coastal weather conditions. Access to the Jeep staging area is via paved walkways with one incline. Exploration terrain varies depending on each guest's chosen route and stops.
