WHAT YOU VISIT
Noss Island Nature Reserve Wildlife Safari
Measuring just 850 acres, Noss Island is acclaimed as one of the most important seabird colonies in Scotland. The M.V. Seabird catamaran boasts a good stable viewing platform and lots of space inside and out to view the spectacular 590-foot-high cliffs, rocky headlands and sheltered inlets that provide ideal nesting sites for 25,000 gannets, thousands of guillemots and hundreds of puffins, razorbills, black guillemots, gulls, shags and skuas in the spring and summer months.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
In addition to the impressive seabirds, you may even see porpoises or the occasional whale, otter, or dolphin.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Once aboard the catamaran, you'll sail along the rugged coastline of the island of Bressay, and, weather permitting, close to the magnificent rock arch known as the Giant's Leg.
Schedule
Special Notes
Lifejackets provided and demonstrated during the safety briefing. Dress warmly (layers) and bring lightweight waterproofs if possible and binoculars. Every effort will be made to conform to the route and timings shown but due to unforeseeable circumstances some variations may on occasion be necessary.
