WHAT YOU VISIT
Cadiz by Tuk-Tuk
A sightseeing tour in a tuk-tuk is a fun and intimate way to get acquainted with city history and an audio guide provides fascinating insights and significance of each site. A tuk-tuk will be waiting at the pier and once inside you'll embark on a 90-minute journey around the city covering 15 of its most beautiful landmarks such as the Walls of San Carlos, Land Gate, and San Sebastián Castle, three military fortifications. Continuing on, you'll zip along the colorful La Viña neighborhood and the stately Cádiz Cathedral. Reminders of the city's Roman past are evident at the 2,000-year-old Roman Theater, the second largest built by the Romans in Spain. Enjoy views of the picturesque Saint John of God Square, the scenic Canalejas Promenade and Turtles Square, finally passing by Spain Square and its Monument to the Spanish Constitution.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Once in the tuk-tuk, your driver will take you past the city's highlights, allowing for photo opportunities from the comfort of your seat. While every landmark is a photo must, be sure to focus your lens on the Cadiz Cathedral. Constructed with gold and silver brought from the New World, its golden dome towers over the Baroque-style building, which is enhanced with neoclassic elements. Begun in 1722, the Cathedral was completed in 1838, built with money from the trade between Spain and America.
