WHAT YOU VISIT
Tabira Church
Built between 1915 and 1917, its location facing Hirado Strait offers memorable photos. The brick church's simple architectural style boasts an octagonal domed belfry and lovely stained glass windows. Facing Hirado Strait, the picturesque views include a number of Christian churches and Japanese temples. Registered as an Important Cultural Property, the parsonage and gatepost are still intact, and the historical environment of its surrounding cemetery and fields have been well preserved.

Sitting atop a hill overlooking Hirado and its harbor, the views include churches and temples, a pleasant reminder that Japan offers total religious freedom and accepts all faiths.
