WHAT YOU VISIT
Rapallo Foodie Walking Tour
Savor the flavors of Italy during a culinary and cultural journey in Rapallo where your host will greet you with a welcoming aperitif toast of local sparkling wine and focaccia. Then, you'll walk to his bottega and learn how to prepare pesto, a tasty creation of fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil and cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino Sardo first made in Liguria in the middle ages. Next, stroll to the food market where the freshest ingredients for Ligurian recipes are sold. Continuing into Rapallo's city center, you'll visit different bottegas for tastings of local delicacies. No foodie tour is complete without a sampling of gelato at a gelateria. Upon return to your host's bottega, you'll sample three different aged balsamic vinegars.

The local market is a photographer's delight with colorful fresh fruits and vegetables, vibrant flowers, artisanal cheeses, freshly baked breads and mouth-watering pastries.
SAMPLINGS
Depending on the season and availability, you'll experience tastings of two different local delicacies from the following selection: focaccia formaggio, pansoti, farinata, stuffed vegetables, or fried anchovies.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
The boat ride across the Ligurian Sea cruises along the coast dotted with colorful villas, rocky beaches and lush green hills.
