What you will visit:

Bay of Fundy Whale Watching

Board a whale watching boat catamaran and explore the Bay of Fundy, home to the world's highest tides. Sail among islands and passages where tidal currents are strong, and watch for eagles and seabirds, as well as seals and porpoises, which take advantage of these rich feeding areas. Then, enter the open Bay of Fundy to watch for whales. Have your camera ready, as the bay is home to the huge finback and smaller minke whales from late June to October, with the popular humpbacks generally arriving in late summer. Please remember that the Bay of Fundy is a wild and natural environment and the wildlife within travel and feed on their own schedule. Wildlife and whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. Following your expedition, you'll have time to explore St. Andrews.

St. Andrews-by-the-Sea (independent exploration)

Founded in 1783 by American loyalists, St. Andrews exhibits turn-of-the-century charm with beautiful buildings dating from the 1700s and 1800s and unparalleled scenery. Enjoy time on your own to discover its unique appeal, meander the waterfront streets, browse the shops and galleries, photograph the sights, or grab a coffee and soak up the environs.

What you will see along the way:

The Bay of Fundy is renowned for its tides that rise to over 48 feet, or the equivalent of a four-story building. And the waters at the mouth of the bay are important feeding areas for many species of marine life. The approximate 75-minute drive from Saint John travels a scenic route through a verdant countryside. Once on the water, watch for dolphins, porpoises, seals, a wide variety of seabirds and, of course, whales! Search for finback and smaller minke whales that can be seen from late June to October and the popular humpbacks in late summer.

Shopping:

You'll have free time to explore the quaint shops, boutiques and cafés in the charming town of St. Andrews.

Beverage:

A hot chocolate and cookie will be offered during your excursion.
