WHAT YOU VISIT
Puffin Watching Tour
Did you know that Iceland is home to 60% of the world's Atlantic Puffin population? Your knowledgeable guide will share interesting facts like these as the boat navigates as close to the islands as possible where puffin colonies nest. According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, puffins are threatened and their populations declining so the captain will maneuver the boat so you can take that picture-perfect photo without disturbing them.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Bring your best lenses and a camera with full battery and lots of memory space so you can snap, post and let the world see Reykjavik's abundant seabirds.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As the boat makes its way along the cliffs of the craggy coastline, you'll not only have views of puffins, recognized by their bright orange and yellow beaks and black and white feathers but northern fulmars, Arctic terns, and black guillemots.
Schedule
Special Notes
Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Wear warm, waterproof clothing with appropriate foot wear (closed toe shoes/boots with a non-slip or rubber sole).
