What you will visit:

Uunartoq Hot Springs
Located on an uninhabited island near Qaqortoq, Uunartoq was first mentioned in the year 1340 and has been a destination for Greenlanders and travelers alike for over 1,000 years. Legend has it that Leif Eriksson himself paid a visit to the area prior to his voyages to North America. Boasting consistent temperatures between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius all year round, these are Greenland's only swimmable hot springs and are surrounded by outstanding views of the mountains and iceberg-strewn fjords.

What you will see along the way:
A 1.5-hour boat ride each way takes you to the Uunartoq Hot Springs. Rocky, mountains soar along the coast, with massive icebergs of blue-white hues floating through crystal water that teems with marine life. Minke and humpback whales may be spotted breaching in the frigid seas, which are also home to walruses and several species of seals.
