Bio-Experience & Macro Photography at the Cloud Forest
Tucked in the heart in one of Costa Rica's remaining cloud forests, El Silencio de los Ángeles Cloud Forest Reserve is a photographer's paradise. With the Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel as base, you'll follow your photographer/guide along the moss-covered hills shrouded in clouds to the ideal location. You'll soon discover it's home to countless plants, orchids, trees, and wildlife-and more than 400 species of birds. Visit the hotel's Tico museum house for a look at Costa Rican history and culture and enjoy a traditional "agua dulce" of artisanal cheeses.

Every click of your camera brings you closer to the amazing biodiversity surrounding the hotel. With the guidance of the expert photographer, you'll learn how to stabilize your camera to capture tiny treasures such as blue morpho butterflies and scintillant hummingbirds.
LUNCH
After a rewarding morning, you'll return to the hotel for a traditional buffet lunch.
SHOPPING
On the way back to the pier, you'll make a a brief stop at a local souvenir shop to find that perfect gift or a memento of your day in cloud country.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
The approximate two-hour drive from Puntarenas takes you through a landscape of city streets and cloud covered hills.

Wildlife sightings, while common, are not guaranteed. Passengers should be in moderate or better physical condition. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a light raincoat and sunscreen. Tour may operate in reverse. This tour is not for guests with walking difficulties or in wheelchairs.
