Your full-day tour begins as you board your transportation for a scenic drive northwest from Punta Arenas, crossing the endless pampa (treeless grassland) to Patagonia Estancia, a 100-year-old cattle ranch.

Upon arrival, you'll embark on a tour of the estancia, and witness a demonstration of historic farm machinery once used by the baqueanos (sheep ranchers), as well as a sheep-shearing and sheep dog demonstration.

As sightseeing can work up a real appetite, you'll enjoy a lunch of barbecued lamb and Pisco Sour, a South American cocktail. After a delicious meal, you'll board your transportation for a panoramic drive back to the pier.

Keep your camera ready for a brief stop at La Cruz Hill, the tallest point of the city that promises breathtaking views of Punta Arenas and the Strait of Magellan. You'll also make a photo stop at Plaza Muñoz Gamero, Punta Arenas' central plaza. Shaded by a canopy of pine trees, the plaza is enveloped by baroque-style mansions from the 19th century, and boasts the Hernando de Magallanes Monument dedicated to Ferdinand Magellan. Legend has it that if you kiss the foot of the Selk'nam Indian at the bottom of the monument, you're certain to have good luck and return to Patagonia.

With unforgettable memories of Punta Arena behind you, you'll conclude your tour with a relaxing drive back to the pier.
