WHAT YOU VISIT
Port Wine Cellar
Upon arrival, you'll take a glass of port wine to immediately connect with the traditions of the Douro region. Interpretive panels lining the cellar room illustrates the centuries-old history of Douro wine. The highlight of your visit will be exposure to the local folklore known as Fado. UNESCO has placed Fado on its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity treasures, and today's show is performed by the voices of some of the city's greatest singers.
LUNCH
You will also enjoy some tapas, prepared especially for you to showcase the gastronomic highlights of Portugal. The menu includes codfish 'cookies,' sardines, chickpea salad, typical sausage, ham, cheese, bread and olives with a glass of red or white Douro wine.
