WHAT YOU VISIT
Curepipe
Sitting in the shadow of an extinct volcano, the town's commercial center is a shopper's haven. Stores selling jewelry and textiles are plentiful. Inside Les Voiliers de L'Ocean, you'll find a ship factory, which recreates 18th century ships in miniature.

Floreal
Known as the Beverly Hills of Mauritius, the town is famous for its fine Merino wool and cashmere knitwear.

Casela Nature and Leisure Park
One of the island's biggest attractions stretches out over 20 acres and boasts exquisite landscaping, exotic plants and flowers, and streams. Over 2,500 birds of 140 different varieties make their home here. One of the main attractions is the Mauritian Pink Pigeon, one of the rarest birds in the world.

Big cats such as lions, Bengal tigers and caracals in animal enclosures, giant tortoises, and colorful birds are photo-worthy subjects while visiting Casela Nature and Leisure Park.

Shop 'til you drop in the various stores in the towns of Curepipe and Floreal.

As you make your way through the stunning countryside, you'll be surrounded by sugar cane fields, and the breathtaking Tamarin Mountains and Le Morne Brabant Mountain, once the hiding place for runaway slaves.
