WHAT YOU VISIT
Schotia Game Reserve
Named for the flowering trees and shrubs native to Southern Africa, Schotia has been owned and operated by the same family since 1833 and is home to one of the most densely stocked wildlife areas in Africa with Schotia with nearly 2,000 animals and over 40 different species. Upon arrival, you'll be treated to a welcome drink before hopping aboard the 4x4 open vehicles for a game drive that traverses the reserve where wildlife roams in profusion and diversity.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
During your game drive, be ready to "shoot" the Big Five, plus numerous antelope species, hippos, giraffes, and zebras; as well as smaller mammals such as vervet monkeys, and birds like blue cranes.
LUNCH
Following your drive, you'll enter a lapa, a traditional semi-open South African structure that provides shade and features a thatched roof, and feast on a buffet of local favorites plus two drinks per person (house wine / local beer / soda).
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
After leaving the cityscapes of Port Elizabeth, you'll drive through the verdant citrus farmlands, lush riverbanks, and rolling hills of the Sundays River valley to the open savannah grasslands and dense scrubland that surrounds the Schotia Game Reserve.
