WHAT YOU VISIT
Amakhala Safari Lodge
Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Cape, Amakhala Safari Lodge offers a luxurious escape into the wild, combining the thrill of Big 5 safaris with the comforts of modern living. The malaria-free Eastern Cape, Amakhala Game Reserve spans 8,500 hectares (over 18,000 acres) and its lodge was inspired by African tribal design, where handcrafted elegance are brought to life through intricate beadwork and unique safari suites. Day One: Following a welcome drink, unwind as monkeys play and wildlife gathers with lunch at the main lodge. Then, embark on your first 4WD game drive and sundowners and light snacks in a clearing in the bush. Dinner featuring South African cuisine served back in the lodge. Day Two: Sunrise game drive and breakfast at lodge. Enjoy time to yourself to swim, relax or nap before lunch and late afternoon game. Have drinks and snacks in the bush at sundown before returning to the lodge for dinner. Day Three: Embark on a sunrise game drive then return to lodge for breakfast. After gathering your belongings, and checking-out, board your transport for drive to Port Elizabeth Airport. Fly to Cape Town and reboard your waiting ship.

RECOMMENDATIONS
The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice. These may be changed due to prevailing weather conditions and/or the movement of dangerous wildlife on the Game Reserve. During early morning game drives in open vehi-cles it can be a little cool. We recommend that guests take along a windbreaker. During the day, it can get extremely hot. The game drive vehicles are not covered, and guests are therefore exposed to the elements. Some vehicles may not be equipped with PA system. Guests are therefore ad-vised not to forget their sunhats, mosquito repellent, sun block, sunglasses, as well as their cameras and binoculars. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS
Please note that the game drive vehicles traverse uneven terrain and that the game drives can be bumpy. This tour is therefore not recommended for guests with back and neck problems, or pregnants. This Overland is not recommended for guests using mobility devices.
