Addo Elephant Park by 4x4 vehicle
Moderate Activity
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Your tour begins as you board your motorcoach for a scenic, 80-minute drive to Addo Elephant Park nestled in the Sundays River Valley of the Zuurberg Mountain range, fondly referred to as the old lady.
The Addo elephant belongs to the same species as the African Elephant, although smaller, with rounded ears, with females lacking tusks. The park was created in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area. Today, it's home to over 600 elephants, one of the densest African elephant populations on earth.
Upon arriving in the park, you'll board an open-air 4WD safari vehicle, to set off with your guides in search of the grey leviathans of the bush and an up-close view of the game in the South African veldt. (Wildlife sights are not guaranteed.)
Your excursion concludes with a relaxing drive back to the pier.
