Through the buildings left behind, you will hear how convicts were made to work, building the prison walls around them, and how they were rewarded. The rules were extensive and the punishments severe. On the other side of the bars you will gain insights into the lives of military officers and the Commandant charged with keeping order in this remote and desolate place.
