WHAT YOU VISIT
Lava Tubes Exploration
Feel like an explorer as you trek inside the lava tubes of Piton de la Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Located within Reunion National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the volcano is over 530,000 years old, and through the centuries, the eruptions endowed the area with a unique and otherworldly landscape. Head underground and discover this subterranean fantasyland with a specialized guide leading the way. Learn how, during multiple eruptions, molten rock flew from the volcano and cooled into many eye-popping shapes like stalactites and stalagmites in hues of blue, orange, red, and grey.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
For hundreds of thousands of years, the lava tubes have decorated itself drip by drip. Moisture, oxidation and iron-rich mineral deposits have turned droplets of water into works of art.
LUNCH
Following your hike, you'll sit down for an authentic Creole lunch at a local restaurant. The menu includes starters, a main course, and dessert with a beverage (punch, ¼ of wine) and coffee.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Drive through different landscapes of the West Coast and the wild part of the island in the South.
